ŠKODA’S ELECTRIC FUTURE

ŠKODA is committed to leading the way in electric. Find out how.

GOING GREEN

GOING GREEN

‘Green Future’ is our initiative to build a more sustainable future for ŠKODA and you, our customers. We have set ambitious targets to reduce our environmental impact in the decade up to 2025, including reducing the CO2 production of our fleet by 30%. Electric is the future.

ALL-IN ON ELECTRIC

ALL-IN ON ELECTRIC

Over the next 5 years, ŠKODA is investing €2 billion (£1.8 billion) in alternative driving systems and new mobility platforms. By the end of 2022, we plan to deliver a number of new iV electrified models to fit our 'Green Future' initiative. We have already trained 11,000 of our colleagues (and counting) in electric vehicle production.

The ŠKODA OCTAVIA iV

For the first time you can own the ŠKODA OCTAVIA iV as a plug-in hybrid. This option combines a 1.4-litre engine and a 75-kilowatt electric motor to give you 204PS of power. On a full charge the hybrid engine can run purely on electric for around 35 miles and still performs impressively, going from 0-60mph in just 7.9 seconds.

BATTERY TECHNOLOGY

Our electric iV models are powered by cutting-edge lithium-ion batteries. Loaded with densely packed energy, they safely and sustainably power your car. Our Battery Management System ensures performance won’t deteriorate even over long periods of time.

PLUG-IN HYBRID ELECTRIC VEHICLE (PHEV)

Unlike BEVs, plug-in hybrid electric vehicles combine an electric motor with a traditional combustion engine. PHEVs are still charged the same way as BEVs and can be driven purely with electricity (for 34 miles** in the case of the ŠKODA SUPERB iV model). Driving a PHEV will drastically reduce your fuel consumption and provide a smoother, quieter drive, particularly in the city. Find out more about our ŠKODA SUPERB iV model by clicking below.
